Chapter III

THE TRINITY

Three in one and one in three: coexistent and coequal. THAT is basic to that dogma. True? Very little truth therein! In fact, there is not as much as one sound scrap of Biblical evidence to support it! Coexistent? Utterly IMPOSSIBLE, in view of Father AND Son ! Co-equal? That’s a lie. The Son said: “my Father is greater than I” (See John 14:28). Also when James and John sought to secure the highest positions in the forthcoming kingdom, He said: …but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, IS NOT MINE TO GIVE…!” As to the Holy Spirit being co-equal, the Lord said in substance: “every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven”! (Matt 12:31)

When we postulate the Trinity, the foregoing words by the Christ become analogous to my saying: “IF you slap my right cheek I will forgive you; but IF you slap my left, NEVER shall you be forgiven! Or, if you kick my right shin I will overlook that; but if you kick my left shin? Horrors man: I might even kill you”! Co-equal? What blather! On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

John 14:20

When we base the Trinity dogma on Jesus’ claim that He was in the Father and the Father in Himself; then by the same sloppy thinking verse 20 would declare that there are fifteen (3 + 12) in the so-called “Godhead!” (Incidentally, that Godhead word in Col 2:9 is erroneous. The Greek could far better be rendered ‘Deity’)”Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name–the name you gave me–so that they may be one as we are one”!

John 17:11

What! Did you never hear that the 12 apostles were coequal and co-existent, 12 in one and one in? Carefully observe those 2 words (“as we”). The Greek is more explicit, becoming IN LIKE MANNER” (“as we are one”).”that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be one in us…”

 vs. 21

“…that they may be one, even as we are one… vs. 22

“I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity” vs. 23The latter could be rendered “that they may be perfected into oneness.” By these several quotations it should be evident to the dumbest human that the Lord was speaking of a ONEness in spirit: that is, in love for one another as well as in thought and objective. Or we might say, “in perfect agreement with reference to all matters.”

But six centuries ago (before the printing press) and previous thereto, Bibles were not available for the public, neither was literacy very common. Therefore dumb, stupid and conscienceless theologians “could get away with murder”, AND SO THEY DID!!

Are you aware that William Tyndale was burned at the stake in 1536? And that for no greater crime than ‘translating and working hard to get the Bible into the hands of the common people! Or have you not read about John Rogers whose martyred spirit ascended on the flames in. 1555? That was in England. Martin Luther would have suffered the same fate had it not been for powerful German princes, which secured him. But in France, thousands of Waldenses were massacred! Human blood back in those centuries flowed in streams, ALL IN THE NAME OF CHRIST! But the Christ had said:”for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”

Lk. 9:56

The works of Wycliffe and Luther made the Roman church fear for her continued existence, hence the deep and long blood baths. The Spanish Inquisition was not stopped by the church, but by Napoleon. I believe it correct to say that the church did not civilize heathendom; but rather, civil governments CIVILIZED THE CHURCH! In the 17th chapter of Revelation, we see God’s perspective of that monstrous organization. Her footprints are in beautiful symmetry to those of Aaron’s gangster clan!
